The wait is over.
Rebecca St. James became engaged to Jacob Fink at her family’s farm in Franklin, TN. Fink requested Rebecca’s parents’ blessing before
popping the question on Christmas Day.
Fink, a Colorado native who now calls southern California home, is pursuing a career in music. The couple met through mutual friends in Los Angeles. Before delving into music, Fink served as a missionary in South Africa for two years before heading to college, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in communications and an emphasis on film production.
St. James sent this message out to family and friends: “We are truly amazed at finding our dreams and ideals met in the love we’ve found. We are exceedingly grateful for this precious gift from God.”
St. James may be best known for her signature song, “Wait For Me,” as well as for her books and speaking engagements on the subject of purity before marriage.
The Grammy Award winner will be a busy lady in 2011. In addition to planning her upcoming nuptials, St. James releases a new studio album: I Will Praise You on April 5. This is her first release on Beach Street/Reunion Records, home to Christian music supergroup Casting Crowns. Her first single off the new record, “Shine Your Glory Down” will hit radio on February 11. In September, St. James will release her ninth book, What Is He Thinking?, published by Hacheete/Faithwords.
