Though details are cryptic at this time, director David Schultz is working on a new film documenting the life of the legendary Rich Mullins, known for penning classics such as “Awesome God” and “Step By Step,” among others. Mullins died in a tragic car accident in 1997, which claimed his life far too soon.
Schutlz has recently been tweeting that he’s had successful interviews with everyone from Amy Grant and Mac Powell to Jimmy Abegg. The following trailer has been released giving audiences a small taste of what’s to come. The movie’s official Facebook page says the film is scheduled to release this year.
