What’s your favorite?
- Christmas food: Over the years my mom and grandmother have made Ritz crackers and peanut butter dipped in white chocolate and I LOVE THEM!
- Christmas tradition: Decorating with the family. There’s nothing better than turning on the Christmas jams, hanging lights and putting up the tree!
- Christmas carol: “What Child Is This?”
- Christmas album: I have so many favorites…But, today I’ve been listening to the old Carpenter’s Christmas Record and Mercy Me’s Christmas Sessions.
- Christmas movie: I’m definitely a kid at heart. So, I’m all into the old Christmas classics like, Rudolph and A Christmas Story.
What do you enjoy most about Christmas?
I love the feeling the season brings! I believe at this time of the year (more than any other time) people seem to be a bit more eager to open their hearts, to love a little more, care a little more, and embrace the fact that there is a Savior, born for us all…
Share one of your favorite Christmas memories.
One of my favorite Christmas memories would be the first Christmas with my daughter Madison. WOW! I had such an AMAZING time seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child again. It reminded me of being a kid, in awe of all the lights and presents, surrounded by the people I love the most! And, being able to share the story of Christ with her… To explain the real reason we celebrate that season, was bringing Christmas alive in me like never before!
Are you the type of person who likes to peek at your presents before Christmas morning, or do you hold out?
I’ve always tried to wait, even thought it DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! I eventually got really good at talking my parents into letting us open presents early!
What do you want for Christmas this year?
Well, I’d love a new laptop or better yet just a bunch of new clothes, shoes, etc… LOL! But, more than anything I would like for God to bless me and my family in our endeavors of carrying the gospel in the way that He has called us to!
What are you most looking forward to this Christmas?
Spending time with my wonderful family and amazing friends, and preparing for what God has for us in the NEW YEAR!
What are your plans for 2012?
I am making some major changes in the new year… As of January I will be transitioning into being on the road full-time and pursuing the dreams and vision that God has given me. We are going to be hitting the road touring, booking concerts, seminars, and speaking engagements.. looking for any opportunity to share what God has given us! More than anything, to build relationships with people across the globe and help them reach the vision that God has giving them for their lives!
In the book, The Well: Why Are So Many Still Thirsty?, Mark Hall of Casting Crowns uses the powerful story of the Woman at the Well and her encounter with Jesus to help readers understand why life often seems so unsatisfying — when they draw from others “wells” besides Jesus. The book also ties into the release of Casting Crowns’ newest album, Come To The Well. The band is touring across the country this fall, along with Sanctus Real and The Afters.
The International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) took place in Atlanta last week. Over 4,000 retailers, publishers, authors, agents, media, and Christian bookstore buyers descended on the Georgia World Congress Center in the heart of downtown to check out the latest products for Christian bookstores. The music presence at the annual event has grown smaller each year; however, Christian music popped up in various places throughout the week, providing some artist sightings and some insight into what the rest of 2011 holds.

The Fox is filling fast and we’re between shows. The main show, the part you’ll see on TV this Sunday on GMC, starts in about ten minutes. The pre-show, during which all the awards that you won’t see on TV are distributed, just ended in momentous fashion. Curiously, the final award was Spanish Language Album [...]
The Doves are here! Today is the day. I’ve packed up my Netbook and my Nikon to bring you live coverage all day long. This will be my first Dove Awards ceremony, so I’m heading into the day with several questions: 1) How well will the ceremony run? This is the first time the Doves [...]
