Debra Akins is an 18-year music industry veteran. She has held key editorial positions and written for numerous national publications, including BurnLounge Magazine, Billboard Radio Monitor, The CCM Update and Worshiper magazine, among others. Debra continues to freelance for various outlets and also owns Southside Entertainment, a tour publicity/marketing company.

Beau Black has written about Christian music for the last 15 years, contributing hundreds of reviews and features to such publications as The Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Christianity Today, and Georgia Music, and serving as a columnist for both CCM Magazine and Seven Ball. By day, he teaches English at Weatherford College and for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University near his home in Fort Worth, Texas.

Leann Callaway has written for a variety of publications including The Baptist Standard, Baptist Press, Credo Magazine and Brio Magazine. Callaway currently resides in Irving, Texas.

Jackie A. Chapman is a Nashville-based freelance writer and the Contemporary Christian editor for AllAccess.com. She’s been writing about Christian music for over 12 years and has served as the editor of Seven Ball and Release magazines. She is addicted to travel and coffee.

Matt Conner is a freelance writer and editor in Indianapolis. He’s written for Relevant, CCM, HM, Indianapolis Star and several other magazines and websites.

Martha Fry is an Atlanta-based freelance writer. She has covered Christian entertainment for nine years. She is a regular contributor to Associated Content.

Mark Geil is a professor at Georgia State University in Atlanta, a freelance writer, a family man, and a marginal worship leader for a couple of hundred kids each week at church. He is also amused when his teenage daughters tell him to turn his radio down.

DeWayne Hamby has covered the Christian music industry for more than 15 years. His articles and reviews have appeared in magazines such as Christian Retailing, Charisma, New Man, Ministry Today, Focus on the Family’s Breakaway, CCM, and Christian Music Planet.

Lindsay Williams is a Marketing Specialist at Thomas Nelson Publishers and a freelance writer currently residing in Nashville, Tenn. As the former editor of CCM Magazine, Williams continues to enjoy writing about and listening to Christian music.
